Devon is a student of Japanese language and literature at Portland State University. She is currently studying at Aoyama Gakuin University while training in the traditional art of Nihon Buyo (Japanese dance) in Tokyo, Japan.

This site is dedicated to the exploration of Asian literature, cinema, and culture, particularly those of Japan and Korea.

Articles on written work touch on numerous genres, including literary analysis of Heian period setsuwa, traditional theatre, the “I” novel, modern magical realism, and contemporary manga. A list of featured and recommended material can be found on the “Bookshelf” page.
